Migration activity is already well underway for shorebirds, hummingbirds, orioles, swallows, and more. Early-flying waterfowl like teal are moving, too. A family of wrens has their third and last brood of the year nearly grown in the backyard bluebird house. Late-nesting goldfinches are feeding young in their nests lined with thistle down.
